Alternative Bike Co.
Naming, identity, bicycle decals and website.
Alternative Bike Co. creates bikes with a twist, including the smoothie-making bike the Shakesta and single speed fixie the Speedsta.
After establishing the name the logo was addressed – there are two logo options, the full length name, used on the down-tube and an abbreviated circular version (Alt. Bike Co.) used on the head-tube of bikes.
The sub-branding system can be applied to all future bikes. The current range includes the Coinsta, Fuelsta, Shakesta and Speedsta, but other bikes will fit into the (sta) naming structure that links the range together.
Working with a professional photographer the bikes were shot on bright urban backgrounds. A series of naive hand drawn illustrations accompany the photography.
The simple website was designed on a tight budget and is as bright and eye-catching as the bikes it promotes. It is easily expandable and customers can purchase bikes through the website, which uses Paypal to handle transactions.
